What can I send to you for review?

We are pleased to offer a second opinion on anything that appears suspicious, whether it's an email, letter, document, social media message, or text message.

Why do you communicate via text message?

We prefer to handle all scam-related questions via text message. Due to the high volume of queries, text messaging allows us to respond quickly and efficiently, and it enables us to closely examine the suspicious material. Most of our members are comfortable with text messaging. How do you determine if something is a scam?

We process numerous queries daily and collaborate with state and federal agencies to maintain an up-to-date database of current scams. Can you give me financial advice?

No, we are not certified financial advisors. We will never provide financial advice to you and will always direct you to your financial advisor if you inquire.

What if I fall victim to a scam?

First, never trust a service that promises to recover your money. Often, the same service that promises to recover your money is run by the person or group who scammed you. As part of your membership, we’ll help reduce your exposure. If you fall victim to a scam, text VICTIM to 1-888-784-7508 and we will promptly walk you through the next steps.

I want to buy your service for a family member. Do I sign up with their information or mine?

Our membership form prompts you to enter the name and mobile phone number of the person who will be using our service. Kindly provide your family member's information in the designated fields.

Furthermore, to ensure accuracy and reliability, we conduct a thorough review process involving at least two TextSonny agents before confirming the legitimacy of any material you submit for review. If the material you submit falls outside the scope of our expertise, we will inform you and guide you to the appropriate resource.

Why do I have to activate my membership?

Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA,) we are required to obtain customer consent before communicating via text message with our customers.
